PAIA

A cute little hippy town, not far from the famous surf hot spot Jaws. Kind of like the Byron Bay of Maui. Great healthy, vegan cafes, and Mana wholefoods supermarket (like Wholefoods before they became a big chain). 

HO’OKIPA BEACH

5-10 mins from Pa’ia where you can watch the turtles come up on the beach from 4-7pm most days. 

WAILEA/MAKENA

A resort area, where our wedding will be held, golf, beaches, paddle boarding, surfing, luxury shops and beautiful beaches. 

Wailea offers a beautiful 3 mile (5 km) easy coastal walking path along the beachfront resort district. The route starts at the Andaz Maui in the north, easily accessible from the beach just around the point from Wailea Ekahi, and ends at the Polo Beach Club / Fairmont Kea Lani in the south.

There are are also great all day takeaway cafes along the beach walk like Loulu at Grand Wailea (which stocks Erewhon), Beachwalk Cafe at The Four Seasons and Makana Market at Fairmont Kea Lani.

KIHEI

A popular little local town, great food trucks, learn to surf on smaller waves and big boards, local markets daily, bars and restaurants.

HANA

Tropical rainforest vibes. Beautiful waterfalls and hikes. Hana hosts the Seven Sacred Pools (great waterfalls to jump from) and a beautiful bamboo forest easy hike. The Road to Hana is notorious and a fun, winding adventure with incredible views. If you don't want to go all the way to Hana, Twin Falls are at the start of the road so closer and an easy short hike. 

HALEAKALA

Drive up to the top of the mountain above the clouds to watch the sunset. Run or bike up or down if you’re that way inclined. 

MOLOKINI ISLAND

Snorkeling/scuba boats depart the Maui marina daily. Book to go on an underwater adventure - they offer different levels (scuba, snorkeling and for those that don't have their PADI you can go snuba diving). Near the marina is the Maui Ocean Center which is a fun little aquarium to take kids to.
